Boston Limited Names IT Journalist Veteran Technical Marketing Manager
Former Custom PC and Bit-tech Editor James Gorbold Brought Onboard To Shape And Expand Boston's Technical Product Marketing
Boston Limited, now in its 19th year as a distribution partner for Super Micro Computer®, Inc., today announced the appointment of former Custom PC and Bit-tech Editor, James Gorbold, as Technical Product Marketing Manager. James has worked as an IT journalist for 15 years, working as a senior part of the team at Dennis Publishing for over 12 years.
Graduating from the University of Bradford in 1997, James joined PC Pro magazine as a Labs Writer, where he cut his teeth into the world of IT hardware and gaming reviews. After spending the early part of the 2000's in Dubai as Senior Technical Editor for PC Magazine Middle East, he returned to the UK and Dennis Publishing in 2003, heading the technical writing team for the launch of their new computer enthusiast publication, Custom PC.
By 2004, James was made Deputy Editor of Custom PC, focusing more directly on the commercial success and growth of the brand by increasing magazine copy sales and advertising leads, while securing review and industry exclusive from a variety of key IT vendors.
In 2010 James became Editor of Custom PC and www.bit-tech.net, now the highest circulation computer enthusiast magazine and website in the UK, securing his position as one of IT journalisms most influential and respected figures of the past 20 years.
Now joining the team at Boston as Technical Product Marketing Manager after a successful career in journalism, James will bring his years of invaluable experience to the role in order to help grow and develop the company commercially while helping to effectively expose the exciting technological developments Boston will be offering in the future.
