Force10 & Ixia work closely on a number of industry and customer-facing initiatives. Using Ixia's Xcellon-Flex™ family of load modules and the new ImpairNet™module, Force10 was able to fully qualify the latency and throughput performance of S4810 Top of Rack switch, Z9000 the high density 40G switch and the ExaScale chassis switch on both 10G and 40G test ports to fully simulate services coming from East-West and North-South traffic flows.

Dell has announced it has finalized its acquisition of Force10 Networks, a leader in high-performance data center networking. The Force10 acquisition is Dell’s latest investment to broaden its networking portfolio to deliver its Virtual Network Services Infrastructure. Dell expects the transaction to be accretive to earnings in the second half of next year.

Force10's S4810™ Top-of-Rack Switch and the Solarflare SFN5122F and SFN5162F dual port 10GbE SFP+ Server Adapters Now Offered by Distributors Avnet and Synnex
Force10 Networks, Inc., a leader in high-performance data center networking, today announced that it has entered into a joint marketing agreement with Solarflare, a leader in high-performance, low-latency 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) server adapters and software, to bundle Force10’s S4810 top-of-rack (ToR) data center switch with the Solarflare SFN5122F Enterprise dual-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) SFP+ server adapter and the Solarflare SFN5162F Midrange dual-port 10GbE SFP+ server adapter providing customers with an end-to-end solution for 10GbE networking. The bundles are available through Force10’s authorized distributors, Avnet and Synnex, in Europe, US, and Canada in configurations that include 12, 24 and 48 server adapters along with S4810 switches.
