Our Farnborough datacentre is situated on the high security Cody Technology Park within easy reach of the motorway network, rail and air transport links.
With a defence Industry heritage, exceptional building construction quality and a focus on high technology the Park is the ideal home for our state-of-the-art facility. With three separate buildings; the datacentre, energy centre and an office, we are able to focus the design of each on its central purpose.
The datacentre itself incorporates an award winning free- cooling based flooded airflow design which works most efficiently in an optimised space free of other infrastructure. A separate energy centre houses all of the backup power including the UPS and generators in a secure purpose designed facility.
Our standalone office building also provides Client areas for meetings and remote working, whilst the Cody Technology Park offers substantial conference facilities for Client use.

As most datacentres these days claim to be secure, Green and available 24/7, these attributes are no longer seen as exceptional USPs. One would rationally assume that a datacentre would keep the Client Infrastructure it holds safe and available at all times, as well as offering some sort of compliance with Green mandates. However as costs, energy usage and actual compliance to Green mandates take centre stage, slick marketing and “greenwash” are no longer enough. This article will examine the questions that enterprises should ask of their datacentre provider in order to make an informed choice that satisfies their stakeholders – from their end users to their Finance and Compliance departments. The datacentres of today and tomorrow need to be “Environmentally Intelligent” and they need to prove it through proactive service management and service reporting.View article
