Prestwich Arts College Case Study
Prestwich Arts College in Bury is a mixed comprehensive school providing secondary education for students between the ages of 11 and 16. In 2004, the school was designated as one of the government’s specialist ‘Arts Colleges’ reflecting the school’s excellence and aptitude for Arts and Media.
Prestwich Arts College is undergoing a continuous programme of capital refurbishment and now accommodates a range of specialist facilities including a 250-seat theatre, a recording studio and a creative media suite. This enables the school to offer ‘state of the art’ opportunities for students, partner primary schools and the local community.
With the expansion and modernisation of the school’s physical infrastructure, there is the need to store increasingly large, high-quality media files that are central to an Arts student’s education.
